Memorial Sail

A group of sailboats gathered at the LR Sea Buoy on Saturday, June 4 to pay respects and remember our friend Captain Richard Truett. His ashes were released into the sea at noon and a race was underway to The Horse Shoe area off North Myrtle Beach and back to the Sea Buoy. Richard would have approved as conditions were perfect with winds SW 10-12. Norstar crossed the start line just behind Lickity Split and never gave up 2nd. It was a fine day on the water. Haul out 02/03/15

Insurance survey and haulout at Anchor Marine. Norstar looked pretty good for 3 years in the water. Removed and replaced the finicky MaxProp with the spare 2 blade original prop. Don't trust the MaxProp anymore. To many moving parts underwater! Plan on getting one more season out of bottom paint and will haul again in the Fall.
