ICW Sailing

We took friends, Deb and Gerald, out for a sail on Sunday. The weather of course did not cooperate with high winds and 6ft seas offshore so we motor sailed to the inlet and turned around to sail back on a broad reach. Joe and Darlene on Time in a Bottle came out with a group of friends also. The perfect makings for a race! As they passed us going the other way, we turned around so they could catch up. The engines were off and sails were out and we sailed/raced back all the way to the entrance to the marina in the ICW. We claimed victory! We went back to Joe and Darlene's for a cookout and fun was had by all. What a great day on the water! Norstar

Charter season is here!

Charter season is in full swing aboard Norstar. The seas have been calm, winds adequate and the sunsets spectacular! Looking forward to another wonderful boating season.

Up the mast!

Last week I went up the mast 3 days in a row! Whew, I was tired. I finally got the port rigging replaced. After tuning the rig at the dock, we went for a sail to finish the tuning process. Norstar sure does sail well now!

Pre-Thanksgiving Sail 11-22-2011

After a peaceful and restful night at anchor behind Bird Island, we were able to get Norstar sailing in light winds and calm seas just offshore of Little River. Nice day on the water!
